E.U. Forestry Engineering
The current profession of Technical Forestry Engineer is a continuation of that of Forestry Technician, which in turn comes from Forestry Expert and which for a short period of time was known as Forestry Operatives.
The Qualification of Forestry Operative was created in 1862 and whose functions were determined by the Regulation of the 26th August 1869. From 1904 the process for civil servant entrance examinations was regularised in accordance with the Regulation of April 1905.
The Law for the Planning of Technical Education of the 20th July 1957 brought about the Technical School for Forestry Operatives, which then became the University College of Technical Forestry Engineering under the Law of the 29th April 1964.
