New technologies for positron emission tomography under investigation at the molecular imaging instrumentation laboratory at Stanford University
A new seminar of The Centre for Biomedical Technology will be held at ETSIT (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, UPM), Salón de Grados, Building A on Thursday November 4 from 12:30 to 14:00.
This seminar will describe some novel ongoing instrumentation and algorithm research at MIIL in the field of positron emission tomography (PET) that aim toward enhancing spatial resolution, contrast resolution and photon sensitivity, with the ultimate goal of substantially improving PET's ability to visualize and quantify molecular pathways of disease in living subjects.
