Complementary training activities
Due to the variety of possible profiles to Access the Programme, an eventual undertaking of complementary training, specific for each student, is considered. These activities are intended to complement previous training and will strictly concentrate on those aspects considered essential for the concrete research line to develop his/her Doctoral Thesis. Experience acquired along the development of previous Doctoral Programmes leads us to affirm that an adequate allocation of complementary training activities requires a specific consideration of the previous training and academic records of each student. Nevertheless, in general and in consistency with the already defined profiles (see Administrative procedure), the following considerations are established:
|
Complementary Training Activity | ECTS Credits | Applicant’s profile |
Solar cells fundamentals |
4 | P2 |
Laboratory of solar cells characterization |
4 | P2 |
Laboratory of solar cells technology |
6 | P2 |
Physics of photovoltaic Materials |
4 | P2 |
New Generation solar cells |
3 | P2 |
Computational laboratory for photovoltaic materials |
4 | P2 |
Optical Engineering |
5 | P3 |
Photovoltaic Systems Engineering |
4 | P3 |
Electric grid connected systems |
4 | P3 |
Architectural integration of Photovoltaic Solar Energy |
3 | P3 |
In general terms, students will undertake 1-2 subjects (equivalent to 4-8 ECTS credits). In exceptional cases, they will undertake 3-4 (equivalent to 12-16 ECTS) when the candidate profile and the research specific topic so require. In addition, other complementary subjects to the aforementioned training offer may be proposed, thus taking advantage of the growing diversity of degrees, masters and specialization courses |
